Mike O'Mary is cofounder of LitNuts, a newsletter the features ONLY indie books. Mike is also the former owner/publisher of Dream of Things, a small press that published three New York Times Bestsellers, three winners of the Hoffer Award, and one book that was optioned for a film during Mike's seven years at the helm.
Mike says that one of the keys to his success as an indie publisher was using book promotion newsletters and websites. There are dozens of book promotion newsletters (more than 100 by some counts), and Mike used many of them as a publisher. In this talk, he'll discuss the pros and cons of using book promotion newsletters in your marketing plans (including which newsletters get results and which ones don't!), and why he launched the LitNuts newsletter despite an already-crowded playing field.
